The site is perfect in most respects and although unsuitable for
jets, large models and 4 -5 mtr gliders
do regularly fly from it.
The runway is protected by thick
woodland on two sides and the remaining field is enclosed
leaving a protected environment for all to enjoy. The
runway offers approximately 2000 sq mtrs and is reasonably flat.
To this end it is perfect not only for power models but
electric, free flight and vintage, not to forget our 7.5 pg
friends.
Students and experience pilots alike regularly enjoy the calm
weather conditions produced by the natural protection of the
valley and wooded boundaries.

Safety Fence

Completely fenced runway whilst not in use to ensure the few
sheep we have to share the field with do not leave their
sticky deposits.

Trees have been removed at the far end of the field to
ensure we can utilise the next field in an emergency.

Acquirement of a heavy roller to ensure our runway is in
perfect condition.

Retention of a grounds man to ensure a high level of
maintenance.
